Beautifully situated on Lake Wakatipu's south-western shores, this farm is the perfect place to s… | pend a relaxing few hours. Rural host will meet you when you disembark from the TSS Earnslaw and take you for a walking tour of the farmyard.
The first stop is the holding pens, where you can help feed the sheep and deer, and even get up close to the Scottish Highland Cattle. Then stroll through the lakeside gardens to the charming Colonel's Homestead for a traditional high country morning or afternoon tea of scones and pikelets.
Afterwards the farmer will lead you over to the shearing shed where you can watch the farm dogs rounding up sheep from the hill paddocks, and see the farmer shear a sheep.

The cruise style is relaxed, allowing plenty of time to view the fiord’s spectacular waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife.
The Milford Mariner then anchors in a sheltered cove, where you can join the nature guide and explore in the vessel’s tender craft (small boat) and kayaks. Or, if you prefer, you can simply relax on deck.

One and a hour cruise on the TSS Earnslaw showcases some of Lake Wakatipu’s most beautiful alpine scenery and allows plenty of time to explore the decks and bridge. Visit the engine room, view the collection of historical photos in the Fo’c’sle gallery or join a sing-along with the onboard pianist.
The vessel has a licensed cafe onboard selling a selection of cafe-style food as well as beer, wine and spirits.
