During the 1970s and 1980s, under the large-scale plan, the construction of a dam with a total width of 7.919 meters and a height of 196 meters was made in basis of the large-scale planning, and accomplished by Brazilian and Paraguayan workers and technicians, it still contribuing to supply power to Paraguay and Brazilian.
It can be said that it is a very important building for both countries.
