The 117 square kilometre Nairobi National Park is located approximately 7 kilometres southeast of Nairobi's city center. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife. This is the only place in the world that you get a chance to view wildlife in their natural environment so close to a capital city.
The Sheldrick Orphanage's primary mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and ultimately release orphaned elephants back into the wild.
The Giraffe Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, is a conservation and educational center dedicated to the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. Guests are given the opportunity to hand-feed the giraffes with specially formulated giraffe food.
The Karen Blixen Coffee Garden is situated in the Karen suburb of Nairobi, not far from the Karen Blixen Museum which was the former home of Danish author Karen Blixen who lived in the house from 1914 to 1931 and is best known for her book "Out of Africa."
