Trek through the untouched, natural countryside of the infamous "Jukai"forest around Mt.Fuji and explore its frozen lava caves!
Uncover a mysterious and majestic world inside the lava caves with only the light from a flashlight. Walking through the rough, ice-covered interiors is an experience of its own. The caves naturally maintain a temperature of ０℃ (32°F) all year round, creating and sustaining a stunning display of icicle stalactites and stalagmites deep inside the cave.
Aokigahara Jukai Watch
As you make your way towards the lava caves, you will be provided with a detailed commentary of the historical and environmental information of the Aokigahara Jukai, regarding how it came to be, how it received its name, and how the caves you will be visiting came to be.
※Pick-up Service is available from Kawaguchiko Station.
For return, you can use local bus (30 mins / 480 JPY) or taxi (15 mins / 3,000 JPY) to Kawaguchiko Sta.
