In Japan, the season of the rice-cropping is from the end of August to October. Just before the cropping time, the field of the rice plant turns to all golden and it looks so bright. It has various theories but the reason of Marco Polo's describing Japan as Golden country Jipang is because he has seen this golden field.

【Japanese rice and Indica rice】
The point of Japanese rice is its round shape and it’s a bit stickiness. You may realize the difference from Indica rice, which is mainly eaten all over the world and does not contain much fluid.
